Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Bars

On Sunday Matt and I went to our friends’ house for a birthday shindig and to watch some football. I personally enjoy something sweet on my birthday so I decided to bake Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Bars. Let me break it down for you – chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, AND Reese’s pieces. Chocolate and peanut butter are two of my favorite foods to mix together so I didn’t think twice about whether or not to go with this recipe. Continue reading

Guest Post: Green Stuffed Peppers with Hot Italian Sausage

I am pleased to present my first guest post! And who better to be a guest blogger than my cooking inspiration, my mom. She’s a fantastic cook! Although for awhile I’m sure she thought I would never pick up cooking and survive off of grilled cheese sandwiches. It was only a matter of time though so thanks Mom! Continue reading

Funfetti Cookies

Last weekend Matt and I went to the Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox 20 concert. One of my friends from college and her boyfriend drove down to go to the concert with us. We tailgated before the concert started and had an awesome time. (If you haven’t played Cards Against Humanity you should. We couldn’t stop laughing while playing it.) My cutting back on sweets has also meant Matt cutting back on sweets so he was quite thrilled when I mentioned what I would be baking. Continue reading

This past weekend was my first time ever visiting Ocean City, MD. Yes, I said it. At the age of 25 I made my first trip to Ocean City. Remember folks, I grew up in Pennsylvania. I’ve only lived in Maryland for about three years. Continue reading

Fresh from the Garden

My mom had rotator cuff surgery back in March. While I would probably curl up on the couch everyday complaining about the pain, she’s stayed busy. One of her activities has been gardening. My dad built her some garden boxes this past spring and she has planted quite an assortment of vegetables. I’ve been the beneficiary of this garden. There’s nothing better than fresh vegetables straight from a garden in the summer. Continue reading
